Today, the House is considering the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act and the Paycheck Fairness Act - bills that will ensure equal pay for women in the workplace. These are the first bills to be considered under a rule in the 111th Congress because ensuring equal pay for women in the workplace is a top priority of the new Congress. Speaker Pelosi spoke on the floor in support of both bills.
