Volunteer at the Inauguration

Barack Obama's White House Inauguration Committee Office (D) posted a Blog Post on December 23, 2008 | 7:23 pm - Original Item - Comments (View)

As Tripp Welde, our Volunteer Director at the Presidential Inaugural Committee, explains below, we’re aiming to have the most open and accessible inauguration in history and to accomplish that, we’re going to need thousands of dedicated volunteers. Can you come to Washington to volunteer for the Inauguration?

Unfortunately we aren’t able to provide housing, transportation or Inauguration tickets to volunteers. You’ll also need to commit to attending one of our volunteer trainings prior to Inaugural weekend.  If this still sounds like something you’re interested in, please sign up now.

If you’re not able to make it to Washington, sign up for email updates on other ways you can be involved in this historic moment. This Inauguration belongs to you, the American people. We hope you’re able to get involved!
